With Autumn upon us, and most farms getting their teeth into the cultivation season, we thought now would be a good time to summarize the full Proforge Inverta disc harrow range. With over 500 machines sold throughout the UK and across the world since their inception in 2015, this family of Short Disc Cultivators have proved a huge success. But don’t take our word for it, here’s a few testimonials from just a few happy operators.
“The machinery is built to a great standard and after now covering at least 1500 acres is showing no wear to the discs. Maintenance is also minimal which is a plus point.”
“I’d also like to sing the Inverta’s praises. I took delivery of my 5m trailed model in March. A versatile, well designed and equally well-built machine easily capable of living with some of its more expensively priced competitors. Put it to work both in stubbles and ploughed/rolled medium to heavy land and makes an impressive job of either. Doesn’t need huge horsepower to pull it and can cover the ground quickly. Get a demo, see for yourself.”
”New Invertamin making a good job of breaking up a field of fast grass where cattle have over wintered. First impressions, a good purchase.”
“My Father has farmed here since 1964. We’ve tried a number of brands over the years and these are the best set of discs (InvertaMaxPro) we have ever had. Does everything it says on the tin. We’ve been running at 15kph and we’re on heavy land. Worked in wet and dry weather. Can’t praise it enough.”
On this basis, there can be little doubt over the range’s effectiveness – all that remains is to ascertain which one might be the right fit for your farm.
Let’s start at the very beginning. With the latest and greatest often dominating the farm machinery headlines, let’s take a minute to focus on the smallest cultivator in the Inverta family, the Proforge Invertamin. This is a light yet reliable disc harrow, compatible with a smaller budget and designed for use on the small and medium-sized farms where low horsepower tractors are used. This cultivator is an effective primary and secondary cultivator that helps small farms improve efficiency and economy, without having to make overly costly investments.
Key Features:
3pt linkage mounted
510mm (20”) cutaway discs on SKF maintenance free bearings and sprung arms
1150kg weight
95HP requirement
500mm crumbler roller, with tooth packer option also available
Uses the same readily available parts as the Inverta and Invertamax
Next up, it’s our best-selling, original primary and secondary cultivator, the Proforge Inverta. The Inverta® is designed for high-speed, low-cost residue inversion and stale seedbed creation. It is an efficient short disc cultivator maximising productivity on many soil types and working conditions. This particular model comes in a large range of widths (3 metre – 6 metre) and is available both as mounted or trailed from 4 metres, with many optional extras to suit your needs.
Key Features:
High operating speeds 10 – 15km/h with low horsepower requirement
560mm (22″) Cutaway High Quality OFAS Discs on Maintenance-Free Agri-Hub Bearings
All folding models have a transport width of under 3m

This 3 metre model is a front-mounted version of the regular Inverta featuring the same unparalleled quality of wearing metal, with swivelling twin depth wheels. It has been developed for both primary stubble cultivation and secondary cultivation on dry, heavy land. If you’re running a rear-mounted cultivator like the regular Inverta, Disrupta, Stoka or other 3 metre implements, this makes a great combination cultivator. The front-mounted Inverta optimises tillage operations, especially single pass ‘min/max’ seedbed creation. It has also proven very effective in levelling ridges following potato lifting.
Key Features:
560mm OFAS Cutaway Discs on rubber suspension mounts, with SKF maintenance free sealed bearings
Long life rubber shock-absorbing suspension on the disc arms ensures a smooth ride for the tractor driver
Working depth is set via the front depth wheels and pitch adjustment via the top link
Outer discs fold up to facilitate a narrow transport width
1300kg weight
This configuration features the regular Proforge 3 metre mounted Inverta coupled to a demountable tine bar, to create a one-pass, auto-reset, tine-disc-press combination. Designed as an advanced alternative to the ever-popular Simba X-Press 3 metre with ST Bar combination, this is a highly effective machine. The demountable tine bar can also be used in its own, as well as making an effective companion to a variety of other cultivators on the market, including mounted Simba X-Press’s, Opico VariDisc, Lemken Rubin / Heliodor, Kuhn Optimer and the Vaderstad Carrier. This is a truly versatile machine and can be purchased as a combination with the 3 metre mounted Inverta, or as the demountable ‘Stoka Pro’ tine bar separately.
Key Features:
Close couple main frame – Cat 3 tractor linkage – Frame suitable for 130-300hp tractors
Pin Adjust Depth Wheels for positive depth control enabling high forward speeds
5 x Heavy Duty Spring Auto Reset Tines create a ground shattering action
Staggered tine spacing copes with high trash density
Tines work successfully from 50-300mm deep
Universal Double heart share point fitted as standard (low running cost) other points options available on request
Stoka Pro can be used very successfully on its own as a deep chisel plough – ideal for busting up compacted headlands or tramlines
Available in both trailed and mounted variations in a range of widths (3 metre, 5 metre and 6 metre, 8 metre, 10 metre, 12 metre), the Inverta Pro is based on the best-selling Inverta model but comes with a double ‘Soil2Soil’ packer with hydraulic depth adjustment. Once again, the same wearing parts (bearings, discs) are used which are featured across the Inverta range.
